Winnipeg eating places hit $ 40,000 in COVID fines

WINNIPEG – Two restaurants in Winnipeg have been fined $ 40,000 in COVID-19.

Monstrosity Burger and the Tuxedo Village Family Restaurant, which are operated from the same location on Corydon Avenue, have allowed unmasked and unvaccinated customers to eat inside for weeks.

The province has closed the dining room for violating public health orders.

Collection and delivery in the restaurants is still allowed.

The owners say the action is discriminatory.

Four other companies have been fined for COVID violations, including three stores in Winkler.
